#ÖPPENDIABETES

#ÖPPENDIABETES (#OPENDIABETES in English) is a campaign that our content marketing and social media consultant Sofia started in the end of 2014, together with another diabetes blogger. It stands for three things: 1. Nobody is ever alone with their diabetes, we are a lot of people sharing the situation. 2. We have to educate our surroundings! 3. The shame that today (unfortunately) exists around type 1 diabetes has to go away! All these three things are attatched, but just to clarify; it’s important to get the word ‘diabetes’ out in in community! Today, if you click on the hashtag #ÖPPENDIABETES on Instagram, you will see thousands of pictures from diabetics all over Sweden. And hopefully even outside Sweden.
