Some diabetics have problems with their diabetes gadgets, mainly when it comes to making them stay on for as long as one wishes them to. I’m talking about the Omnipod insulin pump or the FreeStyle Libre glucose meter. The glue on the pump\/sensor is produced to be super strong, but sometimes it loosens anyway. Sometimes caused by water, sometimes by walking into a doorpost and sometimes you’re just really unlucky.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Therefore, we have produced a solution to these problems. The AnnaPS armband<\/b>. It’s an elastic band to put around your upper or lower arm. You can use it as protection for your Omnipod or sensor, but it also has a small pocket where you can keep your insulin pump (other sorts than Omnipod), hand units or your phone. Perfect for the every day life, as well as when working out!<\/div>\n

I have myself been a FreeStyle Libre user, and although I wasn’t attacked by any doorposts, I still found myself being overly careful every now and then. So I know by experience that I would have loved to try one of these on back then. But once I tried it out now – I fell in love immediately. This is definitely something I’ll be using when out running. Maybe even one for my insulin pump, and another one for my phone?<\/div>\n

Vissa diabetiker har problem med sina diabetesprylar, fr\u00e4mst n\u00e4r det kommer till att f\u00e5 dem att sitta kvar s\u00e5 l\u00e4nge som \u00f6nskat. Jag pratar om Omnipodpumpen eller glukosm\u00e4taren FreeStyle Libre. Limmet p\u00e5 pumpen\/sensorn \u00e4r framtaget f\u00f6r att vara superstarkt, men lossnar trots det ibland. Ibland orsakat av vatten, ibland av att g\u00e5 in i en d\u00f6rrkarm och ibland \u00e4r man bara v\u00e4ldigt otursam. <\/div>\n

D\u00e4rf\u00f6r har vi tagit fram en l\u00f6sning p\u00e5 dessa problem. AnnaPS-armbindeln<\/b>. Det \u00e4r ett elastiskt band som du kan s\u00e4tta p\u00e5 din \u00f6ver- eller underarm. Du kan anv\u00e4nda det som skydd f\u00f6r din Omnipod eller din sensor, men det har \u00e4ven en liten ficka d\u00e4r du kan f\u00f6rvara din insulinpump (andra sorter \u00e4n Omnipod), handenheter eller din mobil. Perfekt b\u00e5de i vardagslivet likv\u00e4l som under tr\u00e4ning!<\/div>\n

Jag har sj\u00e4lv varit en FreeStyle Libreanv\u00e4ndare, och \u00e4ven om jag aldrig blev attackerad av n\u00e5gra d\u00f6rrkarmar, kom jag ofta p\u00e5 mig med att vara \u00f6verdrivet f\u00f6rsiktig d\u00e5 och d\u00e5. S\u00e5 jag vet av erfarenhet att jag g\u00e4rna skulle ha testat en av dessa d\u00e5. Men n\u00e4r jag testade den nu – blev jag k\u00e4r direkt. Det h\u00e4r \u00e4r definitivt n\u00e5got jag kommer anv\u00e4nda n\u00e4r jag \u00e4r ute och l\u00f6per. Kanske till och med ett till min inuslinpump och ett annat till min telefon?<\/div>\n

H\u00e4r (bilden ovan) ser ni min kompis som idag anv\u00e4nder FreeStyle Libre, som ocks\u00e5 har testat armbandet. Han gillar att ha sin handenhet i fickan medan armbindeln skyddar sensorn.<\/div>\n
