Monday the 11th of May 2015 will (hopefully) be a date that goes down in history as the day of the very first ”V\u00e5rruset” event hosted by AnnaPS. We were a lovely bunch of ladies running the 5k in Gothenburg a couple of days ago. All dressed in our AnnaPS limited edition tank tops saying ”SUGAR IS DIFFICULT, BUT THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE IS WORSE”.<\/b><\/i><\/div>\n

A few weeks ago, we announced that we would be hosting an event during the Swedish running race ”V\u00e5rruset” for women in Gothenburg. I had a vision of making this folk fest into a raising awareness of type 1 diabetes kind of thing. So I custom-made a print for the black AnnaPS tank tops with integrated pockets on the sides, set up an entry fee with contributions in it to diabetes research and started gathering ladies. And the response was way bigger than I could ever have expected! <\/div>\n

The weather before, during and after the race wasn’t the best (the typical Swedish pre-summer weather), but it didn’t show on the running ladies’ faces!<\/div>\n

From the entry fees, we managed to collect 1500 SEK to diabetes research, which is great! We’re looking forward to seeing this evolve to next year – maybe with even more ladies entering, in more than one city, coming together and collecting even more money to diabetes research. <\/div>\n

The limited edition AnnaPS tank tops has generated a huge response among diabetics all over Sweden. And because of that, we have decided to give one away as a competition price. (Women sizes only!) All you have to do to enter the competition, is:<\/div>\n

M\u00e5ndagen den 11 maj 2015 kommer (f\u00f6rhoppningsvis) bli ett historiskt datum som den dag d\u00e5 det f\u00f6rsta V\u00e5rruseteventet arrangerades av AnnaPS. Vi var ett h\u00e4rligt g\u00e4ng med tjejer som tog sig runt de 5 kilometerna i G\u00f6teborg f\u00f6r ett par dagar sedan. Alla kl\u00e4dda i limited edition-linnen fr\u00e5n AnnaPS, d\u00e4r det stod ”SOCKER \u00c4R JOBBIGT, MEN OKUNSKAP \u00c4R JOBBIGARE”.<\/b><\/i><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
F\u00f6r n\u00e5gra veckor sedan offentliggjorde vi att vi skulle anordna ett event under det svenska motionsloppet f\u00f6r kvinnor, V\u00e5rruset, i G\u00f6teborg. Jag hade en vision om att g\u00f6ra den h\u00e4r folkfesten till en v\u00e4cka-uppm\u00e4rksamhet-kring-typ-1-diabetes-grej. S\u00e5 jag specialdesignade ett tryck till de svarta AnnaPS linnena med integrerade fickor p\u00e5 sidorna, ordnade en anm\u00e4lningsavgift med inbakat bidrag till Barndiabetesfonden och b\u00f6rjade samla p\u00e5 mig tjejer. Och responsen var st\u00f6rre \u00e4n jag n\u00e5gonsin hade v\u00e5gat hoppas p\u00e5!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
V\u00e4dret f\u00f6re, under och efter loppet var inte det b\u00e4sta, men det speglades inte i de springglada tjejernas ansikten.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Genom anm\u00e4lningsavgifterna fick vi in 1500 kronor till Barndiabetesfonden, vilket \u00e4r j\u00e4ttebra! Vi ser fram emot att f\u00e5 se det h\u00e4r eventet v\u00e4xa till n\u00e4sta \u00e5r – kanske kommer fler kvinnor deltaga, i mer \u00e4n en stad, och samlar ihop \u00e4nnu mer pengar till diabetesforskningen.<\/p>\n

Vi \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 glada att med trycket p\u00e5 linnena kunna st\u00e4rka den kampanj som drogs ig\u00e5ng sent f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret, #\u00f6ppendiabetes<\/b>. Vi g\u00f6r v\u00e5ra r\u00f6ster h\u00f6rda, och sk\u00e4ms inte \u00f6ver v\u00e5r sjukdom. H\u00f6jda r\u00f6ster leder till nyfikenhet, nyfikenhet leder till kunskap, kunskap leder till \u00f6kade bidrag till diabetesforskningen.<\/div>\n

Limited edition-linnena med tryck har genererat en enorm respons fr\u00e5n diabetiker i hela Sverige.
