NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The top 10 finalists for the Lyfebulb-Novo Nordisk Innovation Award have been announced today.<\/p>\n

The Award spotlights outstanding patient entrepreneurs\u2019 innovative efforts and ideas to better manage diabetes via consumer products, medical devices, or healthcare information technology.<\/p>\n

The ten finalists are:<\/p>\n

\nShantanu Gaur, MD,\u00a0Allurion<\/em>, USA;

\nScott Smith,\u00a0Socrates,<\/em>\u00a0USA;
\nAnna Sjoberg,\u00a0Anna PS<\/em>, Sweden;
\nJohn Sjolund,\u00a0Patients Pending Ltd<\/em>, UK;
\nDavid Weingard,\u00a0Fit4D<\/em>, USA;
\nBrianna Wolin,\u00a0FindYourDitto<\/em>, USA.<\/p>\n

The 10 finalists have been narrowed down from more than 50 applications from 15 countries around the world, by the Lyfebulb founders and senior device researchers from Novo Nordisk A\/S.<\/p>\n

The finalists will all attend the Innovation Summit December 6-7, 2016 hosted by Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Summit provides an opportunity for visibility and recognition in this highly competitive arena as well as professional discussion and inspiration for developing ideas further. The winner will be announced on December 7, 2016.<\/p>\n
